Local experts will lead a walk focused on trees at Russell Park in Jefferson on Wednesday, May 24, at 2 pm.
Trees Forever’s Brad Riphagen will join Greene County conservation director Tanner Scheuermann for this free walk in the park and the surrounding streets.
“The walk is a chance to stop and notice the trees. Past tree walks have been in rural settings, and this time we’ll look at trees in an urban environment. We’ll talk about species, habitat, and care of trees and answer any tree-related questions you might have.
“We’ll also enjoy strolling outside on a spring afternoon with two great guides,” a member of the tree committee said.
23.0This is the fifth tree walk sponsored by the Jefferson tree committee since 2021. Successful walks have been held at Spring Lake, Seven Hills, Daubendiek, and Squirrel Hollow parks.
No registration is required. All are welcome.
